It IS Just a Dad Approved. It cleans OK, it's simple to run, and the dock charges it without any extra plug to deal with. But you should know exactly what this is: a stripped-down H12 Pro. They took out the hot air drying (there's no drying at all), the auto mode, the voice prompts and the electrolyzed water, and they gave it a smaller battery and lower suction. It's also a little heavy and top-heavy, and it doesn't lie flat. If it's the machine in front of you, it'll do the job. But if you're choosing between the two, I'd get the Dreame H12 Pro — it's an all-around better wet/dry mop.

This is the heart of the review, so let's get it out of the way. The G10 Pro has no hot air drying — in fact it has no drying at all. There's no auto mode. The battery inside is smaller. The suction down at the head is lower. There are no voice prompts, which I actually like having (and on the H12 you can turn them off if you don't). The dock is charging only. And it doesn't electrolyze the water the way the H12 does. What's the same: the clean water tank and the dirty water tank are identical to the H12's, and the edge cleaning is just as close.
What It Is and How It Sets Up
It's a cordless wet/dry floor mop with a dock that charges it. Setup is easy — install the handle (there's an electrical connection up there, and the groove goes toward you so the screen clicks into place), plug the charging cable into the back of the dock, and fill the clean water tank. It's a big tank, which I like: take it to the sink, fill it up to the line, add about a cap full of the Dreame solution, and you're ready. In the box you get an extra mop roller, an extra filter, a cleaning brush, the charging cable and some cleaning solution.
Cleaning Performance: What It Actually Picks Up
A Wet Mixed Mess
I ran it on a mess with wetness, kitty litter and hair all mixed in. You should always vacuum first when you can, but sometimes you can't, and that's what these are for. The first pass wasn't too bad, and the kitty litter was handled fine. But it did leave a few streaks — there were a couple up against the wall — and on a big mess I had to go back over it a couple of times. That's why this scored a 7 and not higher. Middle of the road: not the best, not the worst.
Hair & Pet
There's a little comb down by the roller that helps with long hairs, and it gets them off the roller fine. The problem is downstream: the dirty-water tank has no trap to catch the hair, so it all goes down in there with the water. Some of the more expensive machines have a little filter that catches long hair so you're not dumping it into your sink. This one doesn't, and you'll notice.
Edges
It's not quite true edge to edge, but it is pretty darn close on both sides. That's one area where they didn't cut a corner.
Ease of Use
This is its best score, an 8. It's simple to operate, the tanks open easily and parts are easy to replace. You get four modes — quiet/low power, normal, turbo/max, and a suction-dry-only mode — but no auto mode, so you're the one deciding. There's a screen up top showing your mode and battery percentage, and you'll want to watch it since there are no voice prompts telling you what's going on. Two other notes: it doesn't lie flat, so no going under low furniture, and there are no self-driving wheels, so you push it yourself. It's also a little heavy and top-heavy, which you feel over a long session.
Maintenance Reality
Easy to clean, and the self-clean does a good job — put it on the dock, hit the button, and it sprays water on the mop roller, grabs the hairs off it and sucks everything into the dirty-water tank. When I emptied the tank afterward, it had really done a good job. The catch is what happens next: nothing. There's no hot air, no drying cycle of any kind, so the roller sits there wet until it air-dries. That's the single biggest thing you give up versus the H12 Pro, and if you've ever had a mop roller start to smell, you know why it matters. Empty the dirty-water tank every time, and clean the reusable filter now and then — you'll eventually replace it, and they include a spare.
Battery & Runtime
About 35 minutes in Eco, but only about 15 minutes on Max — and Max is where you'll want to be on a real mess. That's the short-battery complaint in a nutshell. For a kitchen or a bathroom it's fine; for a whole house in one shot, it isn't.
Is It Worth It?
If it's what's in front of you, yes — it cleans OK, it's simple, and it earned the Just A Dad Approved sticker. But if you're picking between the two, get the Dreame H12 Pro. Hot air drying, a bigger battery, auto mode, higher suction, voice prompts — it's an all-around better wet/dry mop. The G10 Pro is basically a cheaper H12 with the good parts taken out.
