BOTTOM LINE: Is the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat Just a Dad Approved?

Just a Dad Approved — at the right price. After 3 months of testing it earns a 6.6/10. The single upgrade that defines this robot is hot-water mop pad washing — that makes it the best mopper of the three L10s family members. The all-in-one dock washes pads with hot water and dries with hot air, keeping floors cleaner room to room. It's also no-camera and privacy-friendly. At full price, the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is the smarter buy. At a real discount, the math works.

3 Months of Real Use in My Home

The Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat is the third sibling in Dreame's older L10s lineup — alongside the original L10s Ultra and the L10s Pro Ultra Heat. All three share the same general design DNA: budget pricing, LiDAR navigation, all-in-one docks, no camera. What separates the Pro Heat is one specific upgrade: hot-water mop pad washing.

Over 3 months of daily testing, the Pro Heat ran without drama. The hot-water dock is the real story here — that's what gives this version of the L10s Ultra its own identity in the family.

What's in the Box and First Setup

Setup runs about 15 minutes. The Dreame app handles Wi-Fi pairing (2.4 GHz only), and the LiDAR-driven first mapping pass is noticeably better than the L10s Ultra Gen 2 — that came up directly in testing notes. Mapping is consistent and the robot stays oriented through a cleaning cycle.

What's in the box: the robot, the auto-empty dock with hot-water mop washing tray, the solution bottle, a starter dust bag, two mop pads, the side brush, and the charging cable. Fast charging at the dock is supported.

Cleaning Performance: What It Actually Picks Up

Hard Floor & Tile Performance

On hardwood and tile, the Dreame Pro Heat is competent. 7,000 Pa is below the budget standard, which is one of the few areas where this robot underperforms its Gen 2 sibling (which sits at 10,000 Pa). For daily debris and light pet hair the Pro Heat does the job, but it's not class-leading on suction.

Carpet and Pet Hair

Carpet cleaning at 6/10 — actually one point lower than the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2. Hair tangle at 6/10 reflects the standard brush roller. The tri-cut upgrade is available separately — not included like the D30 Ultra.

Mopping Performance - Where the Upgrade Shows

This is where the Dreame Pro Heat earns its identity in the family. Hot-water mop pad washing at the dock keeps the pads cleaner between rooms. Cold-water-only docks (like the L10s Ultra Gen 2) leave dirty water behind on the pads, and that gets dragged onto the next room. The Pro Heat fixes that. For whole-home mopping over a long day, this is the meaningful upgrade.

Edge and Corner Cleaning

Same limitation as the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2: the side brush doesn't extend into the corner. Tight corner dust gets missed even when the mop pad reaches the wall. Not a deal-breaker for most homes, but worth knowing if your floor plan has lots of tight corner geometry.

Obstacle Avoidance

Functional but not impressive. No camera by design means clutter detection is LiDAR-only. Same as the Gen 2 sibling.

The Dock and the Real Maintenance Story

This is the Dreame L10s Ultra family's better dock format. Hot water washing. Hot air drying. Dirt detect: yes. Solution tank: yes. Fast charging: yes. A genuine all-in-one feature set for a budget robot — and the meaningful daily-use upgrade over the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2.

What's missing: no removable tray (the original Dreame L10s Ultra has that — newer family members dropped it). You can't take the wash tray to the sink. For most owners, not a deal-breaker — the hot water washing does enough work in place.

The Dreame App Experience

Functional and mature. Scheduling, room-by-room cleaning, no-go zones, suction levels, LiDAR-only mapping. Voice control through Alexa works. No video feed (by design — same as the Gen 2).

What I'd Change About the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat

  • Fix the stock availability. Buyers waiting for a sale may find it disappears for stretches.
  • Extend the side brush with the mop pad — same fix that would help the Gen 2.
  • Higher suction. 7,000 Pa is below where this robot should be in 2026.

Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat vs the Competition

Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat vs Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2

Same family. The Dreame Pro Heat uses hot water at the dock; the Dreame Gen 2 uses cold. The Dreame Pro Heat is the better mopper; the Dreame Gen 2 scored one point higher on carpet. Overall the two are roughly equivalent — pick based on whether hot-water mopping matters more than the slight carpet edge.

Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat vs Dreame L10s Ultra (original)

The original Dreame L10s Ultra has the onboard camera and a removable dock tray; the Dreame Pro Heat doesn't. The Pro Heat has the hot-water dock; the original doesn't. Pick the original Dreame L10s Ultra if you want the camera and removable tray. Pick the Dreame Pro Heat if you want the better mopping.

Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat vs MOVA P10 Pro Ultra

At full price, the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra wins — better cleaning across the board, more refined design, 2025 Pick of the Year. The Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat earns its Approval stamp specifically at a discount, when the sale price moves the math in its favor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Buyer Questions
Is the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat the same as the L10s Ultra or L10s Ultra Gen 2?+

No — but they're all in the same family. The Pro Heat adds hot-water mop pad washing, which is the single biggest upgrade and makes it the best mopper of the three. Navigation and dock design are similar across the lineup.

Does the hot water actually make a difference?+

Yes. Hot water at the dock keeps the mop pads cleaner between rooms, which means cleaner floors as the robot moves through the home. Cold-water-only dock robots leave dirty water behind on the pads, and that gets dragged onto the next room.

Does it have a camera?+

No — LiDAR navigation only. For privacy-conscious buyers who don't want a camera mapping their home, that's a feature, not a missing one.

Should I get this or the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra?+

MOVA P10 Pro Ultra at full price. Better cleaning, more refined. The L10s Pro Ultra Heat earns the Approved stamp only at a real discount — when the sale price moves the math in its favor.

What about long pet hair?+

The included single brush roller handles hair okay (6/10 on the hair tangle test). For better long-hair performance, the tri-cut brush is available as an upgrade — not in the box like the D30 Ultra, but available separately.

Why is it sometimes out of stock?+

The L10s Pro Ultra Heat is an older model and Dreame produces it inconsistently. It cycles in and out of availability. If you're shopping for a sale, the right-price window can be narrow.

Does the side brush reach into corners?+

No — same limitation as the L10s Ultra Gen 2. Tight corners get missed even when the mop pad reaches the wall. Not a deal-breaker, but worth knowing if your floor plan has lots of corner geometry.
