3 Months of Real Use in My Home

I ran the Eufy Omni S1 Pro Robot Vacuum through real-world testing in my house and basement for over five months. At the 33-hour maintenance mark it was still cleaning my floors better than robots that cost more. The mop roller system is the headline here — it does not just smear water around, it actively scrapes dirt off the floor and rinses itself with fresh water the whole time it is cleaning. That is the part that won me over.

The trade-off is more maintenance than a standard robot: filters in the dirty water tank, the scraper, and the tank itself all need regular cleaning, and yes, they do start to smell if you ignore them. A little Listerine in the tank goes a long way.

What's in the Box and First Setup

Setup ran about 25 minutes. The Eufy Clean app paired over Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz only) and the robot did its first mapping pass. The clean and dirty water tanks live in the dock — no onboard water tank to refill. The base station is tall, around 27 inches, so plan placement accordingly.

Cleaning Performance: What It Actually Picks Up

Hard Floor & Tile

Where the Eufy Omni S1 Pro earns the premium. The rotating roller scrapes dirt into the dirty water tank instead of smearing it. On vinyl plank, sealed hardwood, and tile with tight grout, the floor comes out genuinely clean. On big-joint tiles, the roller cannot reach into the grout lines — that limitation is shared with the base S1.

Carpet and Pet Hair

Half-inch mop lift kicks in on carpet detection. Boost mode ramps suction. Fine on a short pile; not a carpet specialist. Some hair wrap on roller and side brushes shows up at the maintenance window, manageable not catastrophic.

Mopping

The continuous clean-water rinse is the key. The roller is wet with fresh water the entire cycle instead of slowly going dirty. That is the part the marketing does not fully explain, and it is the part that matters.

Edge and Corner Cleaning

Gets close to baseboards but does not fully clean them. Side brushes help in corners. The mop roller is wide for coverage but cannot reach into tight crevices like grout lines on big-joint tile.

Obstacle Avoidance

3D Matrix sensor — better than the base S1's AIC. Avoids cables, fake pet messes, low-to-the-ground items off-center. Still ran over a Lego in testing — no robot is perfect on the small stuff. The app shows icons of what was avoided, not photos.

The Dock and Maintenance

Cold-water wash on the mop roller, hot-air dry. The dirty water tank scrapes the roller continuously during cleaning, then the dock washes and dries it. Maintenance time on the tank itself is the catch — Listerine in the tank cuts the smell and keeps the filter system cleaner for longer. And here is the part that nearly drove me crazy: the robot has to be powered ON when you remove the dirty water tank, because the mop roller has to drop for service. That step is not in the manual I could find. Once you learn it, it is fine.

The Eufy Clean App

Real-time map view, custom room names, schedules, no-go zones, mop wash frequency. Well designed and clear. Lacks the deep customization of Roborock or Dreame apps for larger homes, but for typical use it is plenty.
