Mova Mobius 60 Vacuum & Mop Review

Dad Approved Mova Mobius 60_1200x1200_1
IS THE MOVA MOBIUS 60 WORTH IT?

Why Dad Likes It

  • Large water tanks — fewer dock refills
  • Per-room mop pad swapping to prevent cross-contamination
  • Dual solution tanks (Pet or Wood) — separate cleaning chemistry per floor type
  • App is easy to use and set up

What To Know

  • Base station is big — measure your space before ordering
  • Lacks Dirt Detect sensor in the dock

BOTTOM LINE: Is the Mova Mobius 60 Just a Dad Approved?

It IS Just a Dad Approved. After 3 months of daily testing in a real home, the MOVA Mobius 60 scored 9.2/10 and delivered where it counts. The per-room mop pad swapping and dual Pet and Wood solution tanks are the real differentiators — cross-contamination between rooms is actually solved. Strong on pets, kids, and clutter. Not perfect — the dock is big and Dirt Detect is missing — but for large multi-floor homes, the trade-offs are honest and the cleaning fundamentals hold up.

What's in the Box and First Setup

Setup ran about 25 minutes from opening the box to first cycle. The Mova app walked through Wi-Fi pairing (2.4 GHz only, standard for the category), and the robot did its first mapping pass automatically. Clearing the floor of obvious obstacles helps that first map — it's worth the 5 minutes.

One thing worth flagging: see the dock specs above for size and feature notes. Measure your space before ordering if you're in an apartment.

3 Months of Real Use in My Home

I ran the Mova Mobius 60 every day for three months in my actual house — not a clean studio. Fiona, our dog, sheds. There are kids' toys on the floor, charging cables, and floor transitions between rooms. This is the real-world condition every robot in the testing pool has to survive.

The Mova Mobius 60 ran daily without major drama. Setup ran cleanly, the app held up, and after the first week the robot disappeared into the routine the way a good robot vacuum should. The standout was large water tanks — fewer dock refills on big jobs — that's the feature buyers should be paying for, and it delivered in 3 months of testing.

Cleaning Performance: What It Actually Picks Up

Hard Floor & Tile Performance

On hardwood and tile, the robot is solid. The specs above give the suction number — what matters is how it handles real debris, and in 90 days of daily testing I had no major complaints about dry-debris pickup. Liquid messes are still a job for a human; daily dirt and crumbs are handled.

Carpet and Pet Hair

Carpet cleaning scored 9/10 in the 3-month scorecard — the standout category for this robot.

Mopping Performance

Mopping scored 9/10 in the 3-month scorecard — the standout reason to buy this robot. See the dock specs above for the hot water mopping details.

The Dock and the Real Maintenance Story

The dock is the second-most-important part of any robot at this tier. See the dock specs table above for water temperature, dirt detection, solution tank, and tray removal details — those add up to whether the dock is a 5-minute weekly check or a 30-minute monthly clean.

The MOVA App Experience

The app is functional and not flashy, which is what I want. You get scheduling, room-by-room cleaning selection, no-go zones, suction and water level controls, and a live map view. It's not as polished as the Roborock app — fewer animations, slightly less obvious where some settings live — but everything I needed was there within a tap or two.

Wi-Fi pairing was clean. Voice control through Alexa works. Notifications come through reliably when the bin needs emptying or a cycle finishes. No complaints worth flagging.

What I'd Change About the MOVA Mobius 60

  • Add dock-based Dirt Detect. The Mobius 60 lacks this feature while the Narwal Z10 Ultra has it — adding it would close the one real feature gap.
  • Shrink the base station footprint. The current dock is large; a smaller form factor would make the system viable in more home types.
  • Rethink the per-room mop pad swap workflow. It works as designed, but real-world buyers swap pads less often than the system assumes — the workflow should reflect actual user behavior.

Mova Mobius 60 vs the Competition

Mova Mobius 60 vs Mova V50

Mova's other flagship, same 9.2/10 score, lower price, no per-room pad system. See the full Mova V50 review for the head-to-head breakdown.

Mova Mobius 60 vs Dreame X60 Ultra

The Dreame X60 Ultra is a flagship with robotic feet and hot water mop, no per-room pad separation. See the full Dreame X60 Ultra review for the head-to-head breakdown.

Mova Mobius 60 vs Narwal Freo Z10 Ultra

The Narwal Freo Z10 Ultra has dock-based Dirt Detect that the Mobius 60 lacks. See the full Narwal Freo Z10 Ultra review for the head-to-head breakdown.
