IS THE ROBOROCK QREVO 2 PRO ROBOT VACUUM AND MOP WORTH IT?
✓ Why Dad Likes It
Split Brush Roller handles long hair well — no more picking hair off the brush by hand
15mm mop lift, and it leaves the mop pads at the dock before vacuuming carpet
Easy to clean and maintain day to day
App-controlled remap zones for spots that need extra mopping
− What To Know
No side-reach on the mop, so it won't stretch into tight corners
Replacement parts run a bit higher than average to own
Traditional mop pads, not a roller mop — good, just not the newest tech
BOTTOM LINE: Is the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop Just a Dad Approved?
It IS Just a Dad Approved — This is a great, genuinely low-maintenance robot vacuum. The Split Brush Roller handles long hair better than most anti-tangle designs I've tested, obstacle avoidance is strong, and the whole thing is refreshingly easy to live with — simple mop pads, a proven app, and parts that reuse Roborock's existing lineup instead of forcing me to track down something new. The mop doesn't reach into corners and I'd like to see a roller mop here instead of pads, but neither is a dealbreaker. I'm highly recommending this one.

MOPPING TEST
The dirty water tank got dirty during testing, but less than on some robots. Mop pads, solid but not roller-mop level.

You want the newest roller-mop tech instead of pads
This is a great robot vacuum, and one of the easier ones I've had to live with. The Split Brush Roller does a genuinely good job with long hair, obstacle avoidance is strong, and the maintenance side of owning this thing is about as simple as it gets.
Cleaning Performance
Hard Floor & Tile
This vacuum runs in nice straight lines, and it alternates its pattern — some days it's straight lines the whole way, other days it splits the room and cleans at a 90° angle for the entire space. I like that, honestly — it keeps carpet from getting matted down from being vacuumed the same direction every time, and it helps pick up more dirt overall. It navigates into furniture well too.
Carpet and Pet Hair
Carpet Cleaning scored 8.8/10. The Split Brush Roller is a real standout for long hair and pet hair — one of the better anti-tangle designs I've tested, and it earned the Pet-Friendly tag on this page.
Mopping
Mop Performance scored 7.9/10. This still uses traditional mop pads rather than a roller mop — they're good, just not quite as good as a roller in my experience. The dirty water tank did run dirty during testing, though not as dirty as some other robots I've tested recently. The pads lift and the robot leaves them at the dock automatically before it heads onto carpet, which I appreciate.
Edge and Corner
This is the one real weak point — no side reach on the mop, so it won't stretch fully into tight corners the way some competitors do.
Obstacle
Obstacle avoidance is really good — marked Amazing on the data card, and that tracked with what I saw in testing.
The Dock and Maintenance
Maintenance on this robot is extremely easy — it's very simple to clean and keep running. I like that Roborock didn't reinvent a bunch of new parts for this one; it reuses several proven parts from earlier in their lineup, which keeps replacement parts easier to find, even if a few of them (solution, mop pads) run a little higher than average to own.
App Experience
The Roborock app is a proven app at this point, and it shows. Remap zones let you flag specific spots — like a kitchen or dining area — for automatic extra mopping every run, which is a nice touch for households with a few trouble spots.
What I'd Change About the Roborock Q7 M5
Add side reach to the mop so it can get into corners properly
Move to a roller mop instead of pads — the pads are good, just not in the same league
Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro vs the Competition
Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro vs Mova V50 Complete
Similar mid-range positioning. The V50 brings Leap Legs threshold climbing and a slightly higher overall score (9.2 vs 8.5) — the pick if thresholds are a bigger issue in your home than corner mopping.
Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro vs Roborock Saros 20
The Saros 20 is the real flagship step up — 36,000 Pa suction and dynamic carpet height adjustment, at a higher price. Worth it if carpet performance is the top priority.
Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro vs Dreame X60 Ultra
A different ecosystem entirely, with stronger flagship suction (35,000 Pa). Worth cross-shopping if you're not committed to staying in the Roborock app.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common Buyer Questions
Is the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro worth buying?+
Yes — it earned the Just A Dad Approved sticker with an 8.5/10 overall score. The Split Brush Roller handles long hair better than most anti-tangle designs I've tested, obstacle avoidance is strong, and maintenance is about as easy as it gets for a robot vacuum.
Does the mop reach into corners?+
No — this is the one real gap I found. The mop pads don't have side reach, so they won't stretch fully into tight corners the way some competitors do.
Is the Qrevo 2 Pro good for pet hair?+
Yes — Hair Tangle scored 8.5/10, and the Split Brush Roller is genuinely one of the better anti-tangle designs I've tested for long hair.
How does it compare to the Mova V50?+
Both are solidly mid-range. The V50 scored slightly higher overall in my testing (9.2 vs 8.5) and adds Leap Legs threshold climbing, while the Qrevo 2 Pro's draw is the Split Brush Roller's anti-tangle performance.
Does it mop and vacuum at the same time on carpet?+
No — the mop pads lift and the robot automatically leaves them at the dock before it heads onto carpet, so you don't have to worry about it dragging wet pads across your rugs.
