The Slim Profile Story
The Roborock Qrevo Slim is what it sounds like — a slim-profile Roborock built to clean where taller robots physically can't. At 3.23 inches tall, it fits under most low couches, beds, and kitchen cabinet toe-kicks where flagship robots get stuck against the frame. The slim profile isn't a gimmick. It opens up cleaning territory that other robots simply cannot reach, and for the right home, that single feature can be the entire purchase decision.
What makes the slim profile possible is the navigation system. Most flagship Roborocks use a raised LiDAR tower on top of the robot. The Roborock Qrevo Slim uses StarSight Dual Light Solid-State LiDAR plus 3D Time-of-Flight sensors that don't need a raised central puck. The result is a 3.23-inch chassis with full mapping intelligence — the same approach that Roborock has since refined into the Roborock Curv X and Roborock Saros 10R.
What's in the Box and First Setup
Setup runs about 15 minutes — standard Roborock onboarding via the proven Roborock app. Wi-Fi pairing (2.4 GHz only) and the 3D Time-of-Flight mapping pass.
What's in the box: the robot, the Multifunction Dock 3.0 (8-in-1), spinning mop pads with FlexiArm side reach, the DuoRoller Riser dual brush (pre-installed), starter dust bag, station ramp, cleaning brush, and the charging cable. Roborock also sells the Qrevo Slim with an optional plumbed refill-and-drainage dock that connects to your home water supply.
The Kitchen Story
The Roborock Qrevo Slim is one of the best kitchen cleaning robots I’ve ever tested, and the reason is the toe-kick areas under kitchen cabinets. Most kitchen cabinets have a recessed toe-kick at the bottom — about 3.5" tall — that's a permanent dust and crumb trap because nothing fits underneath to clean it. Brooms can't reach the back. Vacuums require pulling out the kick plate. Robots that are 4" tall or higher physically don't fit. The Roborock Qrevo Slim fits.
Cleaning Performance: What It Actually Picks Up
Hard Floor & Tile Performance
11,000 Pa delivers competent debris pickup on hardwood and tile. The DuoRoller Riser dual brush grabs dust without flinging it. Combined with the FlexiArm side-reach mop pad, the Slim covers both the wall edges AND the under-furniture spaces in one pass — a combination most flagship robots can't match because they physically can't reach the under-furniture areas.
Carpet and Pet Hair - The Weak Category
Carpet at 7/10 — reliable on low and medium pile. Hair tangle at 6/10 — the weak spot of an otherwise strong robot. The DuoRoller Riser dual brush design pre-dates Roborock's current split pressure dual roller. Long hair will wrap on the brush. Newer Roborocks (Qrevo Edge S5A, Curv S5X) use the split-roller design that handles long hair much better — and that's the reason this robot is a Skip for long-haired pet households.
Mopping Performance
Spinning mop pads with FlexiArm Edge Mopping side reach mop right up against the wall. 10 mm mop lift for carpet transitions. Multifunction Dock 3.0 with hot water washing and hot air drying — same workflow as the upper Roborock lineup. The Ad vs Reality dock claim passed cleanly. Hot water mopping is one of the strongest non-slim parts of the experience.
Edge and Corner Cleaning
Both the FlexiArm side brush and the side-reach mop pad extend to reach walls and corners. Same approach as the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra Gen2, Dreame X40 Ultra, and the rest of the upper-mid lineup. The Ad vs Reality test confirmed the side reach claim. Corners and edges along walls actually get clean — combine that with the slim profile, and the Qrevo Slim covers the wall edges AND the under-furniture spaces in one pass.
Obstacle Avoidance - Excellent
The Roborock Qrevo Slim has one of the better scores in the entire Roborock lineup. StarSight Dual Light Solid-State LiDAR plus 3D Time-of-Flight sensors plus front camera. The 3D sensing technology captures precise outlines of obstacles in real time, including thin furniture legs that lower-tier robots commonly miss. The Ad vs Reality obstacle claim passed cleanly in formal testing.
The Hair Tangle Trade-Off
This is the one place the Qrevo Slim shows its age, and it's a real one. The robot uses the older DuoRoller Riser dual brush design that pre-dates Roborock's current split pressure dual roller. Long hair will wrap on the brush. Hair tangle scored 6/10, and the Ad vs Reality long-hair claim failed in formal testing. The brief is direct: the hair tangle test is the weak spot, and long hair will wrap on the brush. Newer Roborocks (Qrevo Edge S5A, Curv S5X) use a split pressure dual roller specifically designed to handle long hair without wrapping — and that's where long-haired pet households should look instead.
Cost to Own — All-Low, Standard Roborock
Replacement parts for the Roborock Qrevo Slim land in the Low cost tier across every part category, and overall annual maintenance also lands Low — approximately $306/year OEM. Same Roborock parts ecosystem as the Qrevo Edge S5A, Curv S5X, and the rest of the Qrevo line. Consistent maintenance pricing across the lineup, mature parts availability.
Roborock Qrevo Slim vs the Competition
Roborock Qrevo Slim vs Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A
Different robots for different problems. The Slim's slim profile cleans where the Roborock Edge S5A can't physically fit. The Roborock Edge S5A has dramatically better hair handling (9/10 vs 6/10). If you need the slim profile, get the Slim. If you have long-haired pets and don't need the under-furniture access, get the Roborock Edge S5A. If you want both, no current mid-tier Roborock delivers both — the Roborock Qrevo Curv X is the newer ultra-thin flagship that gets closer but at flagship pricing.
Roborock Qrevo Slim vs Roborock Qrevo Curv X
Generational comparison. The Roborock Slim is the older slim-profile Roborock that paved the way for the current ultra-thin flagships. The Roborock Curv X is the newer evolution — 3.14" (even thinner), 22,000 Pa (twice the suction), DuoDivide split-brush (solves the hair problem), 2026 Pick of the Year. If you want the slim profile on a deeper discount, the Slim. If you want the latest slim-flagship execution, the Roborock Curv X.
Roborock Qrevo Slim vs Roborock Saros 10R
Both are 3.14"–3.23" slim profiles. The Roborock Saros 10R is the 2025 flagship with split-brush hair handling, Dock 4.0 with auto-detergent, and best-in-class obstacle avoidance — at flagship pricing. The Slim is the older slim pick on sale. Pick by budget and hair handling needs.
