One thing to know: solid-state LiDAR mapping software still needs fine-tuning compared to traditional spinning LiDAR. The maps work, but small editing tasks (carpet zones especially) feel less refined than what Roborock has shipped in years past.
What I'd Change About the Roborock Saros 20
- Polish the AdaptiLift climbing system. First-generation hardware — works, but slower and clunkier than the Dreame ProLeap.
- Fix the tight-space navigation logic. Getting stuck between two pieces of furniture with room to move is fixable in software.
- Tune the auto-carpet detection. The day-one map quality should not require a manual fix.
- Quieter mop drying cycle. The fan noise during pad drying is louder than the competition.
