The Shark Stratos AV2700ZE is NOT Just a Dad Approved. It's a vacuum-and-mop combo with a genuinely capable NeverTouch dock that auto-empties, refills the water tank, and washes and dries the mop pad. Its best trait is obstacle avoidance, the strongest of any Shark bagless robot I've tested. But the fundamentals don't hold up. It uses cold water and cold air on the mop pad, so mopping is only okay. The app is slow and lacks customization. The dock itself is hard to clean, and the robot carries over old Shark parts like the single roller that wraps hair and a small dustbin that clogs. It's sold under several model numbers, but it's the same robot — skip it and get the Mova P10 Pro instead.

3 Months of Real Use - Shark Stratos Model Differences
The Shark Stratos can vacuum and mop your home at the same time, with a docking station that has both a clean-water tank and a dirty-water tank. One thing to know up front: this robot is sold under a lot of different model numbers — AV2700ZE, RV2710ZE, RV2720ZE and others — but you're basically getting the same robot. After three months of testing, it comes out a Skip It at 6.3 out of 10.
What's in the Box and First Setup
Setup runs into the same wall as other Sharks: the app is slow, and the carpet verification run can be hard to get through. Once it's going the robot is fine, but the app holds the hassle-free score to a 6 out of 10.
Cleaning Performance: What It Actually Picks Up
Mopping
Mopping scored a 6. The robot vacuums and mops in one pass, and the dock washes the mop pad — but it uses cold water and cold air for the wash and dry, so the mopping result is only okay rather than great.
Carpet and Pet Hair
Carpet cleaning came in at a 6, and hair tangle also at a 6. The robot carries forward a lot of old Shark hardware, including the single brush roller with a small comb — so you'll get hair wrap on it.
Obstacle Avoidance
Obstacle avoidance is the high point at a 7.5, the best of Shark's bagless robots in testing. The LiDAR navigation handles objects well, and the robot typically makes it back to the dock without getting stranded.
The Dock and Maintenance
The NeverTouch dock is the selling point — it auto-empties the bin, refills the robot's water tank, and washes and dries the mop pad. The catch is that it's hard to clean. The section where it washes the mop pad is awkward to get at, and the filters for the bagless auto-empty system get extremely dirty and are hard to clean too. On top of that, the onboard dustbin is okay but on the small side, and it clogs pretty easily.
The Shark App Experience
The app is a real weak point: slow, and short on the customization you'd want to fine-tune the robot for your home. There just aren't many settings to adjust, which is frustrating on a robot at this price.
