The Tineco Floor ONE S9 Artist Pro is the wet/dry mop I'd point a busy household toward. It's a self-propelled machine with powered wheels that pull it along, it lies flat to reach under furniture, it backs itself up to park when you shut it off, and it washes and hot-air-dries its own roller so nothing sits wet and smells. It cleaned a big mixed mess well — the only mess that made it work was dried chocolate syrup, which took a couple passes. It's heavy and premium-priced, but for a big home with kids and pets it earned the Just A Dad sticker. Here's how it held up.

What's in the Box and First Setup

The S9 Artist Pro is a cordless, lie-flat (180°) wet/dry mop with SmoothDrive powered wheels, a DualBlock anti-tangle roller, dual tanks (about 1 L clean / 750 ml dirty), and a dock that charges it and runs a heated self-wash and hot-air dry. Setup is simple: fill the clean tank with water and solution and go. It runs three modes — Auto, Max, and a Suction/Dry-only mode — and the iLoop dirt sensor auto-doses the water and suction while the ring goes red on dirt and blue when the floor is clean. It mops with room-temp solution; the heat is for the self-wash, not the floor. It ships with a spare roller and filter, and there's a 2A fast charge on the dock. The one thing you'll notice picking it up: at about 12 pounds, it's heavy.

Cleaning Performance: What It Actually Picks Up

The Big Mess Test

I hit it with a big mess — cereal, milk, chocolate syrup, coffee, and kitty litter — pushed right up to the wall. Auto mode saw it was dirty and cranked itself up, and it got the floor and the corners clean, right up to the edge on both sides. The one thing that made it work was the dried chocolate syrup, which took a couple passes. So it did a good job, it just wasn't a wow given what it costs.

Stains

Auto mode ramps up on the dirty spots on its own and gets into the crevices, which is exactly what you want it to do. The chocolate syrup was the one holdout — a couple passed and it was gone. For everyday spills and sticky messes, it handled them; just don't expect it to erase a dried-on stain in a single pass.

Hair and Pet

This was a strong spot. I threw long hair and a pile of kitty litter at it, and the mess went into the dirty-water tank clean — the DualBlock anti-tangle roller meant there was no wrap on the roller to pick at afterward. For a home with pets and long hair, the hair handling held up well.

Ease of Use — Where It Shines

This is the reason to buy it. The SmoothDrive powered wheels pull the mop along so it's easy on your arms, and it lies flat to reach under the couch and beds. The neat trick is the auto-reverse park: shut it off and it backs itself up so it cleans the exact spot where you set it down, instead of leaving a wet mark. The screen and the red-to-blue iLoop ring make it easy to read at a glance. The only knock is the weight — at about 12 pounds it's easy to run but heavy to carry between floors.

Maintenance Reality

When you're done, dock it and it runs a heated self-wash and then hot-air-dries the roller in about 5 minutes, so the roller comes out clean and dry and doesn't sit damp and stink. The drying is a little loud for those few minutes. You dump and rinse the dirty tank every use — the blue lever pops the tank lid — and the reusable filter needs to dry fully in the sun before it goes back in. A spare roller and filter come in the box.

Battery and Runtime 

Tineco specs it up to 75 minutes in the lower-power mode on a redesigned battery pack, and in real-world use it landed closer to 52 minutes. I didn't time a full clean to the minute, but for a normal whole-home mop it's plenty, and the 2A fast charge on the dock tops it back up quickly between sessions.

Is It Worth It?

For the right buyer, yes. If you've got a big home with lots of hard floors, kids, and pets, the powered wheels, lie-flat reach, self-parking, and self-drying roller genuinely earn their keep when you're mopping a lot. It cleaned well, handled hair, and made the chore easier. The honest trade-offs are that it's heavy and premium-priced, and the clean was good rather than jaw-dropping for the money — but for a busy household it does the job and earned the Just A Dad Approved sticker.
