Three months of real cleaning runs across hardwood, low carpet, and the kind of everyday clutter that actually exists in a house with kids and pets. What's in the Box and First Setup
Setup is genuinely easy. The Yeedi app walks you through Wi-Fi pairing in a couple minutes, the LiDAR turret on top of the robot does its first mapping run quickly, and you're cleaning the same day. And the bigger issue is the single brush roller: with long-haired pets, you're going to get hair wrapped. There's no anti-tangle comb that actually solves the problem at this tier, so if your house has long-haired dogs or shedding cats, plan on cleaning the roller often.
Mopping
I'm going to say this one more time: don't install the mop pad. The C12 Plus has a flat mop pad with no real lift mechanism, no solution tank, and no scrubbing pressure. It's a wet rag drag. Run it as a vacuum-only robot and you have a perfectly reasonable budget pick. Try to make it mop and you've turned a quietly good robot into a frustrating one.
Edge and Corner Cleaning
Single basic side brush, no corner-reach extension — edges and corners get the same treatment as every other budget robot at this price. Good enough for daily maintenance, not great if you want spotless baseboards.
Obstacle Avoidance
This is the second area where the budget price shows. The Yeedi C12 Plus uses basic optical sensing — no dedicated camera, no AI obstacle detection. Rounded furniture legs are its kryptonite. I tracked it getting trapped on rod-shaped legs and rounded chair bases more times than I'd like across three months. If your house is cluttered, this isn't the robot for you.
The Dock and Maintenance
This is the Yeedi C12 Plus's best feature, full stop. A bagless auto-empty station at this price tier is rare, and Yeedi did it right. What I'd Change About the Yeedi C12 Plus
- Drop the mop pad — Stop marketing this as a 2-in-1. Sell it as what it actually is: a quiet, smart, bagless vacuum-only robot. The value story gets cleaner without the pretense.
- Fix the brush roller — An anti-tangle comb design at this price point would meaningfully expand the audience. Right now, long-haired pet households are off the table entirely.
- Lean into the bagless dock — It's the real differentiator at this price. Most robots twice the cost still ship with dust bags. Make that the headline.

The Dreame D20 Air Plus steps up to 20,000 Pa suction and LiDAR for not much more money. But the same mop-isn't-really-a-mop story applies. Pick the Dreame if suction matters; pick the Yeedi C12 Plus if the bagless dock matters more.
Yeedi C12 Plus vs Eufy C28
The Eufy is in a higher tier with better mopping. If you want mopping at all, look there or higher. If you specifically want bagless and budget, the Yeedi C12 Plus is the cleaner pick.
