Dad's Top Deal Picks Right Now

These aren't every robot on sale — they're the robots where the current Amazon price genuinely makes sense for what you get. I update this list weekly, and a robot only earns a spot here if it's both a robot I'd actually recommend AND priced where I'd buy it myself this week. When the Real Sales Happen

Robot vacuum prices follow a predictable yearly pattern. If you can wait, here's when to time your purchase.

Late March
Amazon Spring Sale
Smaller event than Prime Day, but worth watching. New model releases from MOVA, Dreame, and Roborock often hit shelves in Q1 — the older versions get discounted here as the new ones ramp up.
Mid-July
Amazon Prime Day
The deepest robot vacuum discounts of the year outside Black Friday. Premium and flagship models often see meaningful markdowns. Set deal alerts about a week ahead — the strongest deals sell out fast.
Late November
Black Friday + Cyber Monday
The biggest robot vacuum sales of the year. Manufacturers clear inventory before holiday demand peaks. Sometimes the biggest savings are the week BEFORE Black Friday — watch the deal trackers.
December 26
Boxing Day Sales
Often overlooked in the US but real. Retailers clear remaining holiday inventory. If you missed Black Friday or want a less-crazy shopping experience, this is the quieter alternative.

Robot Vacuum Deals FAQ

How often is this list updated?

The picks themselves are reviewed weekly. The Amazon prices shown next to each pick are live — they refresh every time the page loads, pulled directly from Amazon. So even between my weekly editorial updates, the prices stay current.

If a robot stops being a good buy at its current price, I remove it from the list. If a new robot drops to a price worth highlighting, I add it. The list isn't padded just to hit a count.

Why don't you show specific discount percentages?

Two reasons. First, Amazon's Associates terms specifically prohibit static price or discount claims because prices change constantly — anything I publish now is potentially wrong an hour from now. Second, percentages off are misleading without context. A large discount on a flagship-priced robot isn't necessarily a better buy than a smaller discount on a budget model.

What matters is whether the current price makes sense for what you get. That's what these picks tell you. Click through to see what Amazon is charging right now.

Should I buy now or wait for Prime Day / Black Friday?

Depends on the robot and the time of year. If you're within 4-6 weeks of a major sale event (Prime Day in July, Black Friday in November), waiting often saves real money — premium models in particular see meaningful markdowns during those windows.

If you're not near a sale event, the picks on this page are robots worth buying at their current price. I don't include robots here just because they're "discounted" — I include them when the current price makes the buy decision easy.

Why doesn't every robot on this list have a big discount?

Because "discount" doesn't mean "good buy." Some robots are great purchases at their full MSRP — they're worth the money, period. Others get deeply discounted and still aren't worth buying because the product is bad. I rank by whether the current price makes sense, not by the size of the markdown.

That's also why this isn't a typical affiliate "deals" page — most of those will list anything that's discounted regardless of quality, because they make money on the click. I'd rather keep your trust.

What's the difference between this page and the Best by Price tier pages?

The Best by Price tier pages show you the best robots at each price tier regardless of whether they're currently discounted. They're the answer to "what's the best robot vacuum under $500?"

This Deals page answers a different question: "what's worth buying RIGHT NOW based on current Amazon pricing?" A robot might be the best in its tier but not currently a deal. Or a flagship might not normally be a strong value, but a current price makes it one. Use this page when you're ready to buy this week.

How do you decide which robots make this list?

Three filters. First, the robot has to be one I've tested in my actual home — no robot makes this list just because someone else likes it. Second, the current Amazon price has to make sense for what you get — overpriced robots don't make the list even if they're "on sale." Third, ranking is editorial, not algorithmic — I order them by how confidently I'd recommend them at their current price.

A robot can be removed from the list if its price goes up to a level I no longer think is justified. I don't grandfather picks just because they used to be a deal.

Are these affiliate links?

Yes — every "See Live Price" button is an Amazon affiliate link. If you buy through one, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The commission doesn't change which robots I recommend or how I rank them.

I buy every robot I review with my own money. Manufacturers don't get to send me free units. If a robot is on this list, it's because I'd buy it at its current price myself — not because anyone paid me to feature it. Full details on the affiliate disclosure page.
